Kitchen interior design in the Bay of Plenty.
Kitchen interior design is the part that makes a kitchen sit calmly in the home: the cabinetry, the surfaces, the materials, the flooring and the way the kitchen meets the rooms around it, resolved as one considered whole rather than chosen piece by piece. It is what I bring to every Design Suite project across the Bay of Plenty and into the Waikato, and it is easiest to understand by seeing it.
The kitchens below are recent work, each designed around the home it belongs to rather than pulled from a catalogue. Look through them for the layout and the finishes both. What runs through all of them is a way of thinking: the plan resolved around how the household cooks and gathers, the materials chosen for how they wear, and the connection to the nearby rooms held from the first sketch to the last detail. How these kitchens are designed, from first conversation to final detail, is set out on the services page.
Common Questions.
What is kitchen interior design?
It is the design of everything that makes a kitchen work and hold together as a space: the layout, the cabinetry, the surfaces, the materials and finishes, and the way the kitchen connects to the rooms around it, resolved as one whole rather than chosen separately.
Do you design the whole home interior, or just the kitchen?
My work is kitchen-led. I resolve the kitchen and the finishes that flow from it, into the scullery, laundry or nearby rooms where the joinery runs, so the spaces feel considered together. It is not whole-home decorating.
Do you choose the finishes and materials?
Yes. Selecting and resolving the cabinetry, surfaces, benchtops, flooring and finishes so they wear well and sit together is part of the design, drawn from across the market to suit your home and how you live.
