Industrial Chic Scullery Design: Refined Contemporary Elegance

We specialise in creating spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Collaborating with clients on their renovation, we aimed to design a contemporary, industrial-inspired scullery tailored to their lifestyle and functional needs, seamlessly integrating with their home’s architecture.

Bespoke Scullery Design: Maximising Efficiency and Storage

Our meticulous planning focused on secondary pantry storage. We used the Blum inner drawer space tower system to maximise storage and ensure easy access in a limited space. Open shelving was incorporated to provide visual access to non-food items and enhance the openness of the scullery.

A Scullery for More than Just Storage

The scullery design integrates open shelving, enhancing storage and creating a tidy nook and servery area, ideal for making espresso. Featuring a single sink, it complements the main kitchen for food prep and clean-up, keeping the main area clutter-free and ready for entertaining. Small appliances are stored thoughtfully, with some ready for use and others concealed behind Hafele pivot-slider hardware.

Industrial-Inspired Aesthetics: A Perfect Harmony

The architectural landscape of the newly renovated home provided the ideal backdrop for an industrial-styled scullery. The scullery’s industrial style complements the home’s renovated architecture, featuring a polished concrete floor and rough-sawn charred blackened timber. High ceilings and openness define the space, with white lacquer interiors and stainless-steel appliances. White laminated ply enhances the sense of openness, with exposed Ply edging adding crisp lines essential to the industrial-chic design.

Minimalist and Contemporary Touches

For continuity from the kitchen to the scullery, one-inch finger holes were drilled through Ply cabinet drawers and doors, adding a clean, contemporary look and reducing visual clutter. The industrial-inspired space combined cool concrete and metals with warm timber, using steel to highlight the raw materials. This design evoked coolness, timelessness, and practicality, seamlessly merging contemporary farmhouse living with industrial design trends.
